Neighbors of Lakewood
Neighbors of Lakewood encompasses several well established neighborhoods in the greater Lakewood/Eastridge area of Modesto.
Situated on the eastern edge of District IV, our namesake is derived from our proximity to Lakewood Elementary School, Lakewood Park, and Lakewood Avenue. Lakewood Avenue was named when it was a dirt road that often pooled with water in the winter months, lined by large wood piles from wood cut in nearby peach orchards.
Most of the homes in the area are distinctly different, custom built homes, ranging from the late 70s to early 90s. We host annual neighborhood gatherings in the park, such as National Night Out where we have well over 200 neighbors in attendance!
